This was the second test for this class, and it covered trig identities and equations. It was a total of seven units that we have learned over the past two months, and was one of the hardest math tests that I have taken. For this test I mainly use my problem solving skills. Math is all about problem solving, and with these problems in particular, you really have to solve problems in a creative way. With trig identities, there are multiple ways to get to a certain point, and for the test you have to choose the best way. I am most proud of my score for this assignment. I had really spent a lot of time studying and ended up getting a 100%. I was having trouble with this unit, so I knew I had to put in a lot more effort than I usually do. Whenever I work on math problems, I am working on my problem solving skills. I find easier and better ways to solve problems, and learn for the future. The hardest thing for me was just understanding what to do. It was really hard for me to connect what I was learning in the textbook to the actual equations in the test and homeworks. I had to get some help from my brother because I wasn’t able to figure out the homework problems on my own. Solving these problems is similar to normal equations with numbers, you just have to get used to them with sin, cos, and tan instead. Once I realized that, it was a lot easier for me to solve them. Everything in this class helps us with the next lesson, so I everything I just learned will help me in the future.
