1. Which 21st Century Skills do you feel this assignment addresses, and why? For this project we used informational skills. That is because we had to use technology, and create a menu online. We also had to find all the information for the project. One part was a web-quest, which makes us search the internet for answers. Usually the web-quest will give us websites to use, but we had to find some of the information on our own. 2. What are you most proud of from this assignment, and why? I am most proud of the way that the presentation looked. I made it look as similar to a menu as I could. I included fonts that I have seen in restaurants before, and added pictures. One of my favorite little details that I added was the vegetarian symbol for the vegetarian dishes. 3. How did you develop and/or improve upon your 21st Century Skills with this assignment? Since we had to use the internet for a lot of things, I got better at using the internet to find the information that I needed. I also got better at figuring out if a website is reliable or not. Lastly, I learned new things about google slides and how to make the slides look the way I want them to. 4. What was most difficult about completing this task? The most difficult thing about the assignment was finding authentic dishes. It sounds easy, but making sure that each dish is traditional and authentic is hard. I was able to find a ton of dishes that were not from Peru, but were served in Peru. That was not the assignment though, and finding the dishes took a lot longer than I thought it would. 5. How could you improve this work? If you could start over, what would you do different? Since I got a 100% I don't think I could have made it better, but I would have done a couple of things differently. I would have tried to use google translate less, so I could learn more, and use the things that I already know. I would have also worked more in class, so I would not need to do as much for homework. 6. How does this relate to what you have learned in the past? Since half of the project was in Spanish, I had to use my prior knowledge of Spanish to understand what I was reading. I also had to write in Spanish, so I had to use what I knew to do that. 7. How can you apply this to future learning? I can apply what I learned in this project to future project and tests in Spanish. I learned a lot of new words, and about the culture in Peru. If I ever go to Peru, I will have a little bit better understanding of it when I am there.
