1. Which 21st Century Skills do you feel this assignment addresses, and why? For this project I used both global awareness and financial, economic, and business literacy skills. Since this project took place in our Spanish class, and had do include Spanish in the project, we learned about the language and fashion all over the world.Part of the project was to create a magazine and actually make it look like a real magazine. By doing this I had to learn about how different businesses use brochures or magazines to communicate what they are trying to say or sell. 2. What are you most proud of from this assignment, and why? I am most proud of my theme for this magazine. One of the parts to the project was to pick an overall theme for the magazine. At first I just did a basic them and used pictures of fashion models. Then I found a picture of an activist in a magazine and I thought it would be a great idea to make the magazine only with activists as the models. This made it kind of hard to find pictures of different outfits to fit the rubric. 3. How did you develop and/or improve upon your 21st Century Skills with this assignment? While doing this project I learned a lot more about the Spanish language. Since we had to write a description for each outfit, we got to learn a lot of new words and sentence structures in Spanish. I also made sure to look at magazines to see what makes them so special, to try to incorporate them into my magazine. In the end, I even did some research because looking at the magazines only got me so far. 4. What was most difficult about completing this task? The hardest thing about completing this magazines was finding photos. If I just had gone with my original plan it would have been easy to find photos. When I switched to the activist idea, it took a lot more effort to find good photos. For a lot of activist, there aren't even many pictures of them because they were not alive during the time of taking pictures for magazines. Even if the person was, there is a high chance that they have never posed for a fashion photo. 5. How could you improve this work? If you could start over, what would you do different? If I could redo this project, I would have probably spent more time doing it in class. We were given multiple class periods to do it, but I seemed to always hold off until the end of class to start working on it. Now I know to really utilize the class time because then I wouldn't have to do that much work at home. 6. How does this relate to what you have learned in the past? In class leading up to this project, we had been learning differentvocabulary to help us complete it. We were taught about colors, clothing, sentence structure, and other information to help us finish this project. I have also done many projects where we have to use google slides and make them look very nice with different graphics. This made this project a lot easier because I didn't have to learn how to make the slides look the way I wanted them to. 7. How can you apply this to future learning? I can apply this to any time I speak Spanish in the future. Everything that we learn in Spanish class just leads to the next lesson. The things that I learned this unit, have helped and will help my with future lessons.
